Title IX Compliance Policy Statement:
In accordance with Title IX and its regulations, SECEP prohibits discrimination, harassment, and retaliation against students and employees on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender, and gender identity. Complaints or concerns regarding discrimination based on sex, sexual violence, or sexual harassment will be addressed by the Title IX Coordinators, at the SECEP Administrative Office, 6160 Kempsville Circle Suite 300B Norfolk, VA 23502. Christopher C. Old firstname.lastname@example.org and Dr. Marice Minor email@example.com jointly serve as SECEP’s Title IX Coordinators. The Title IX Coordinators will investigate all complaints and concerns to determine if a formal investigation is necessary. During the investigative process, the Title IX Coordinators will implement supportive and non-punitive measures. The “Final Rule” of Title IX seeks to ensure that discrimination and sexual harassment complaints (students and staff) are conducted in a transparent and equitable manner for both parties.
