Mission of Information Technology Department

First and foremost we exist to support the educational goals of SECEP for our student population. In congruence with the Virginia Department of Education Technology Plan; we believe this will be best accomplished in five major areas:

SECEP Department of Technology will strive to integrate information technology into the curriculum by working closely with the professional educators of the various SECEP programs.

SECEP Department of Technology will partner with the other support departments to foster professional development; particularly as applied to technology awareness in all levels of the organization.

SECEP Department of Technology will build a solid technological infrastructure in cooperation with our partnering school divisions in order to enhance connectivity, communication, and instruction.

SECEP Department of Technology will assist our professional educators in identifying and implementing suitable instructional software.

SECEP Department of Technology will strive to provide systems for the collection and analysis of information that will aid in data driven decision making and accountability throughout the organizational strata.
