SECEP is located in the area of southeast
Virginia known as Hampton Roads. The region consists of cities that provide
rural beauty as well as urban sophistication and varied recreational opportunities

Beach, the largest resort city in the country, offers 52 miles of beaches
as well as fine dining, shopping and the Marine Science Museum.
Norfolk
is a major center of commerce, home to the largest Naval Base in the world
and one of the busiest ports in the country. Norfolk hosts many cultural
activities for Hampton Roads, including The Virginia Symphony, The Virginia
Opera, The Virginia Stage Company and The Chrysler Museum. Norfolk also
hosts two professional sports teams, the Norfolk Tides (a Triple-A farm
team for the New York Mets), and the Hampton Roads Admirals, a championship
American Hockey League team. A new feature to the Norfolk landscape is
the MacArthur Center Mall, a premier mall in the heart of downtown.
Hampton
Roads has several public and private colleges and universities making
continuing education convenient and affordable.
